I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am a child of the 80's. That's why I love 13 Going On 30. The soundtrack makes me want to dig out my legwarmers and dance. I love the Go-Gos and I am not ashamed to say it. As if the soundtrack weren't enough, the entire movie leaves me just completely...well, for lack of a better word, happy. Jennifer Garner is adorable and makes me want to be her best friend so we can hang out at the mall and talk about boys. It is funny and sweet and ends perfectly, with everything tied up in a neat little sugary package, just the way I like it.

If you like explosions, drama or unpredictability, then don't bother. This movie doesn't have any of that. It is a chick flick in all it's wide-eyed glory. Love it. Love it. LOVE IT.

I've never seen it, but all my gal-pals tell me I MUST! I just never have 2 hours when I can watch TV by myself! :-) I'm a child of the '80's, too -- grew up on "Pretty In Pink", "Breakfast Club", "Sixteen Candles", and I'm sure I watched a movie in there that Molly Ringwald wasn't in! But I love them all!

I'm not so much into chick flicks, but I love the 80's, that was my era, I graduated high school right in the middle of it. In spite of the fact that I really love rock n roll, I was not into the hair bands. Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, Pink Floyd, Mr. Mister, Prince, Spandau Ballet, Billy Idol, and yeah I kind of liked the Go Go's (likely for an entirely different reason than you did/do). "Breakfast Club" may be one of the greatest movies of all time. Ah, good times, good times.

I am so with you on this one! I was sort of a child of the 80's and I LOVE the soundtrack so much that I had to buy it! I've gotta say my favorite song is "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and watching everybody doing the Thriller dance makes me laugh and wanna dance everytime. :-) GREAT MOVIE and I'm pretty sure I own it because it's one I could watch over and over. Total chick flick. :-)

My husband was all about seeing this movie when it came to the theatres...which is odd for him because he is such a tight-wad. I found out later that it was because he had a little crush on Jennifer Garner. I guess I can't have a problem with it though since I went to see Failure to Launch just because it had Matthew McConaughy (sp?) in it!

You changed my life with the Kelly Clarkson video! Not only do I love that song - I love the video!
I was never as cool as Kelly Clarkson but I'm getting there...
