One Year Ago Today...

Today marks the one year anniversary of this blog.

Wow.

A whole year of mindless drivel.

Go here to read my very first post and wax nostalgic.

In honor of the special occasion I am holding a little contest. See, I made this new bow to put on my website, but I need a really great, creative name for it. Whoever successfully names my bow (that means I get to pick which name I like best) wins that bow for FREE...shipping and all.

Don't have a girl to bowtify? Give it as a Christmas present!

Or wear it yourself. Hey, it worked in the 80's.

So here it is:

For some reason it makes me think of brownies. I don't know why.

It reminds me of the Brownies - the girl's scouts before they're girl scouts.

The Girl Scout?

The Girl Scout Brownie?

The Brownie Girl Scout?

I'm going to post probably another 50 names, cause my daughter looks cute in bows and I love free shipping!

Congrats on your year anniversary first off and as for a name for the bow. How about Cosmic Brownie Surpris? I am following along with the picture you posted below the bow.

Can't wait to hear what the name ends up being.

What a BEAUTIFUL bow!

How about Brownie twist?

Or, chocolate avalanche?

I also like the idea of naming some of them girl's names. Like how pottery barn names some of their collections that way. Just a thought for ya...

"...it worked in the 80's..."

You could call is "The Cindy Lauper" or "The Pat Benetar" or how about "The Molly Ringwald".

Mint Chocolate Chip

It reminds me of mint cholocate chip ice cream, with maybe a cherry on top...

So possibly, too:

"Serendipity"

Websters defines:

ser‧en‧dip‧i‧ty
–noun
1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
2. good fortune; luck

Seems like a one year and a new business adventure later, that wraps is up in with a pretty sweet bow!

And btw, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I'm coming up on a year, too. It's amazing how much we can write about nothing. I prefer to see it as a talent.

I'm think more like Mint Chocolate Chip but since it was already said, I go with those grasshopper cookies that were like oreos, but with mint in the middle.
Mmm...
So, grasshopper.

How about you cover all the above-mentioned desserts and just call it "Sugar Rush".

I'm coming up on 1-yr too.

Kyle,
We all know you just have bow envy and wish that you could wear them. That is why you buy them "for your daughter." heeheehee

The other day I wore a brown sweater with a green cami under it and I thought I really needed this bow.

Mmm, Chocolate Ribbon Candy.

How about the name Fudge Frills for your new bow?
It is an adorable addition to your collection!

"Birthday Cake"

Goes perfectly with your "ice cream sundae" & "candy kiss"...In fact, you could do a whole series of bows based on desserts! I would buy all of them!

How about Mint Chocolate Brownie Royale?

I've got two problems:
One, I've been staring at the bow for like way too many minutes desperately trying to think of a name. Me, father of one son, fan of all movies involving swordplay, you know the ones, staring at a bow and racking my brain for a creative name.

Second, when you stare long enough, the little center part of the bow, thin pink with white dots, starts looking like a zombie duck screaming at you. Just look, do you see the beak? The whited out "zombie" eyes? God help me.

So for the naming, chocolate mint makes me think of those "Andies" mints, and you get them at those fancy restaurants, very romantic with candlelight. Since that really isn't the direction for little girls accessories, or shouldn't be (I won't rant on our current culture, but puhlease) I'm going with:

The Zombie Mint Chocoduck

Look, I'm seeking professional help already...

Barefoot, that was freakin hilarious. ROFLMAO. I needed a good belly laugh today, and you fit the bill perfectly.

Supermom, I go vote for "Zombie Mint Chocoduck". Original, humorous, and appeals to all the dads who are trying to spoil their "little girls."

I like Chocolate Ribbon Candy, and of course, The Zombie Mint Chocoduck! If you are taking votes on this, I think you may actually have to name it that!
