Pleading

This is my sweet Baby, reaching out to give me one of about twenty hugs she showered upon me at dinner tonight.

Sigh.

Please, God, PLEASE, let me keep her this way forever. I want to stop time and stay here always. When she says "oose" for juice and "ooze" for shoes. When she pretends to meow. When she dances and sings and lays her head on my shoulder when I hold her in my arms. When she laughs that intoxicating baby belly laugh.

Please, can't I?

What a sweet picture. Your post reminded me of a book by Karen Kingsbury I commented on on my blog. You can link to it here: jackmarcelain.blogspot.com/2005/10/is-it-working.html
Have a blessed day hugging your sweetie pie.

I was just thinking the same about my daughter. How I will miss how she says "come on, mommy, wets go!" How oatmeal is "soup" and ketsup is "dip-dip". And hearing her holler at the dog outside "OBEY!" This is our sugar to take with our daily dealings with thier spice, yes?

I love this post. I have a 2 yr old and she melts my heart daily. I have had the same prayer, "Oh just let this last a little longer!"

every stage (ok most stages) my son has been in I have felt this way. but now at four, i just really love it. he is still sooooo cute and snuggly, but is so independent too. i am really loving this age.
