True Story

I need new bras.

Forgive me, male readers, if I have caused you any kind of discomfort or embarrassment. But it is the cold, hard truth.

And after hearing this story of a woman whose life was saved by her bra, I feel as though no ordinary bra will do. She was hit by a runaway bullet, but it bounced off her bra strap, resulting in only a graze. So now I not only need something supportive, but bulletproof, too.

Really, one never knows when it might come in handy.

So, while folding laundry the other day, I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I looked down to see this poking out of my sweater:

This, dear friends, is the underwire from my last good bra.

But I'm thinking of keeping it. Might deflect a bullet.

Haha, I read that article the other day and was thinking "Where might one get a bulletproof bra?" and then I saw this post! I LOVE that you took a picture of it. I take pictures of stuff like that, too, and when my husband catches me, he thinks I'm weird.

I'm assuming the bra was on, right? Who needs a bulletproof bra when you can poke out eyes! LOL

Your blog makes me laugh. Every time. I guess laughing is much better than crying!!! I can SOOOO relate with the bra incident. I have, in fact, given up on underwire bras. To be even more transparent, I've given up on finding any semblance of a comfy bra at all. If I was only a little flatter, I'd go without one completely. I hate 'em. Thanks for the laugh!

I can't quit laughing! My drawer is full of those deadly bras!

p.s. I got my bows Friday and SuperMom, they are FABULOUS! Pictures don't do them justice. But I'm going to take some pics of her wearing them anyway, and I'll send you some.

I can't quit laughing! That is hillarious. Definitely something that would happen to me, except in front of my students!

What an amazing and yet weird story. I have my doubts that my bra could stop a bullet.

As for the picture of your underwire sticking out of your sweater..been there done that.

Funny story and one more reason for not wearing under wire bras. I tried them and my saggy body wont fit right in them.

oh that is way harsh! I don't have the poking out problem too much, but, I do end up cracking the wire inside the casing.
