What To Wear

I am a simple person. There's a lot I don't get. Like football, sushi, leaf blowers, thong underwear and people who don't like chocolate. Or the women at the birthday party who smile and sweetly refuse cake and ice cream. Who doesn't want cake and ice cream?!

I just don't get that.

Tonight while watching MTV's Fashion Rocks, I realize I can add one more to that list: Fashion. I must be way outta the loop because I just don't get why people think this kind of stuff is cool.

Tell me, would you wear this?

And can someone tell me, what happened to her neck?

This looks like she has a lobster claw on her head. But at least this one might actually be useful at Halloween.

"Help me! I'm being held hostage by the draperies!"

Betty Boop turns Dominatrix. Scary!

I don't get it either, it is rather amusing to hear your spin on it, though. That makes it all worthwhile!

I saw this also...I figured it must be the "hottest halloween costumes" for this season. Because I don't think I could adjust any of those outfits to fit my day of errands, cleaning and playing at the park?

(oh, found your blog on a browse...hope you don't mind me commenting.)

So glad to know I'm not the only one whose jaw drops in disbelief at these get-ups... thank goodness, because I thought I was the only one who lacked a sense of, er, style.

Good Night!!! What are they thinking!! Really they must be just to get attention for the "real" fashions, ya know those adorable skinny jeans ~shudder~

Too funny! Who know what they are trying to accomplish with this. It looks like they got their fashion mixed up with a little Cirque de Soleil.

I will take one. I think it might work nicely for scaring my kids into doing their chores. "If you don't do your chores, then Mommy's going to put on her outfit." :)

I don't get people who refuse cake and ice cream either. But I usually just offer to eat theirs in addition to mine. So it all works out in the end.

So, what I'm gathering from all of these is that ... necks are out for fall? What happened to ALL of their necks? How does any of this translate into something I might pick up at Ross-Dress-for-Less? Sorry -- i obviously don't get it, either.

Oh -- and, chocolate, I can live without (oh, I eat it, don't get me wrong) but DO NOT take away my Hot Tamales.

Well, obviously THEY don't like chocolate, which has caused their necks to degenerate and disappear, whidch is where they keep their fashion sense.

I mean, seriously?

Obviously these "fashion" designers do not have children. If they did they wouldn't have time for the sort of absurdity they develop. And, their kids would say, "Mom...that's really ugly and stupid looking!"

What the hell were those women wearing?? I didn't get any of those outfits either but like someone said earlier...it was amusing to read your take on them.

I would love to hear what Stacy and Clinton thought of those outfits.
